Venture Concept 1

The people who have the need for my product are smokers who either do not want to smell like smoke or do not want to harm the people around them with second hand smoke. This stems anywhere from just the everyday smoker with kids to a professional business man. These people may only have one of the reasons to use the product or both. The professional business person may not want to smell like smoke for meetings or other work-related tasks but may also not want to expose their children at home to the dangers of second hand smoke. Just like the everyday person first thinks to protect their children and other loved ones from second hand smoke but may enjoy the benefits of not smelling like smoke themselves.   This is an important need to satisfy because smoking is looked at as a negative trait in many areas and it makes it hard to be taken seriously as a professional if you smell like smoke often. I know from experience that when you are being helped at a business by somebody that sme...

Your Venture's Unfair Advantage

1.      My ability to relate to anyone that I meet very quickly. o    This is valuable because it can help in situations with pitching ideas to a probable investor or meeting with prospective customers. If you can relate to those people they will connect with you. This may not be very rare but I feel like it is a pretty unique characteristic many people can communicate well but to be able to understand what people like very quickly and be able to talk about those things is somewhat rare. I do not think this is something that is substitutable. 2.      Being extremely driven and turning failures into successful lessons. o    This is valuable because many people are discouraged by failures instead of learning from them and letting it motivate them to be even bet...

Elevator Pitch 3

Here is the link to my elevator pitch! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-Z12yJqqVg I had a good amount of positive feedback on my second elevator pitch, but was told that I should try to slow down my speaking. I tried my best to do this in my new elevator pitch but have a hard time. For me once I start to flow through my pitch I struggle to realize when I am speaking quickly. Hopefully i spoke a little slower and made my speech a little more easy to understand.

Reading Reflection 2

My Book was The Art of Social Media by Guy Kawasaki and Peg Fitzpatrick 1.      The general theme of this book was how to use social media effectively in a business format. This book was basically a guide composed of tips for how to be the ultimate social media guru. It covers all sorts of things from building your profile from the ground up in the best way, to how to get more followers without buying them or asking for them. 2.      This book connects with the marketing aspect of entrepreneurship. It teaches you how to build a social media platform that enhances your reach and helps to build an image for you or your business. It also helped me to realize how big of a deal social media can be in entrepreneurship. I always just looked at social media to stay connected and get news and memes but it can be a science that maximizes the success of your business. 3.      The exercise I would have is an exercise where you bui...
