     1. When your phone falls in between your car seat and you cannot retrieve it until you reach your destination.
Why is exists: For some reason cars are built in a way that there is a dark abyss in between the seat and the center console. The manufacturer probably does this instead of binding seats with the center console so they are easy to remove for repairs.
     2. When people do the dishes but do not scrub the remnants of food off the dishes before they place them in the dishwasher, leaving the "clean" product crusty.
Why is exists: This most likely just exists because the pure laziness of human beings and also the misconception that a dishwasher can clean any dish no matter how dirty it is.
     3. People who use their flashing emergency lights when it is raining hard on the interstate
Why it exists: This exists because it has become a norm and people think that these lights are used to let other drivers know where they are rather than as a signal of a non-mobile vehicle.
     4. When public speakers say "um" whenever they have to think about what they are speaking about
Why it exists: This seems to be a function of human habit and sometimes the speaker does not even realize they are doing it. It feels better to the speaker to fill the void with any word rather than take a silent pause.
     5. unflushed urinals in public restrooms
Why it exists: It seems that there could be two reason for people not flushing urinals. One being that they are in a rush to get out of the restroom to be somewhere else or that they do not want to touch the handle because it is disgusting.
     6. When the room you are sleeping in is too hot
Why is exists: Not all people like to spend a lot of money on air conditioning or there is just bad airflow to certain rooms in a house.
     7. When people make plans with you and cancel within a half hour of the plans
Why is exists: I think in today's world people do not value other peoples time nearly enough. They ignore what the other person could be doing and make a selfish decision.
     8. When people eat your food off your plate without asking
Why it exists: I think this comes from humans being naturally curious and wanting to try other peoples food.
     9. 5 o'clock traffic in Tampa leaving my house to go into the middle of town
Why it exists: The Department of Transportation has not set the timers on the lights to handle the flow of traffic at these times of the day. Also many people are heading home from the airbase that is south of my house.
     10. When people are rude to people in the service industry for things they cannot control
Why it exists: People expect everything to be perfect when they pay for a service and sometimes are impatient. This leads to getting angry at the person they are working with whether they can control it or not.
     11. When someone wakes you up in the morning to ask a stupid question that could have been asked anytime.
Why it exists: This exists because people do not want to be alone in their house while roommates sleep. The people use the question as an excuse to wake the person up so they can hangout.
     12. When people put other people down for their negative traits even when the person is working to improve in those areas.
Why it exists: In today's culture everyone wants to set themselves apart from others and prove how superior they are, even if this means slandering others.
     13. When someone asks for an opinion then proceeds to do the exact opposite of what you say and does not even consider your input.
Why it exists: Many times when people ask for opinions they already have their mind set on an option and just ask to try to help calm nerves.
     14. When people sneeze and don't cover their mouth or nose
Why it exists: these people either do not care that they are spreading germs everywhere or have never been taught to cover their nose when they sneeze.
     15. When people do not tip other people that work in the service industry
Why is exists: I'm sure some people just forget to tip, but others just have no appreciation for the hard work service industry employees work and how little they make aside from tips.
     16. People who cannot admit when they are wrong
Why it exists: Most likely this is someone that thinks very highly of themselves and had a parent that also had a hard time admitting they were wrong.
     17. When people complain about small things and act like they are the worst problem a person could have.
Why it exists:  Most people I know are from the United States and have not experienced real hardship, therefore it is very easy for them to complain about irrelevant topics.
     18. When people are generally negative about everything
Why it exists: Many people have not had an experience that helps them to look at the positive side of everything. It is very easy to just identify the negative and harp on that rather than to work to identify the positive.
     19. letting things bother me
Why it exists: This is broad but, things just get under your skin sometimes. It is a natural reaction whether you want to be upset or not.
     20. Branding that is on everything that a company makes
Why it exists: By having your brand name on everything you make or plastering a brand image on everything you make, you expand the brand and market without spending money on marketing.

Reflection: When I first started this bug list it seemed ridiculously easy. I breezed through the first seven bugs with ease. Around number eight I  definitely had to start thinking a little longer and harder  about things that really got to me. I had to start using things that weren't annoyances that i constantly thought about, but i was still able to get some pretty good bugs. The hardest part for me was when I was on the final three bugs. These final three alone took me about the same amount of time as the first ten to generate.

  1. Hi Matt,

You brought up a lot of great bugs that I didn't think of when I was first creating my bug list, such as when people forget to tip. I also agree with you that it was easy to get the first couple of bugs listed, but the farther I got down the list, I found it harder to come up with these annoyances. And I found that I made some of my bugs on past experiences that only happened once, but I liked how your bugs could happen at any time and were not limited to just one occurrence.

  2. I think you have some really practical ideas going for potential solutions for these real world problems. I think your critical thinking in your explanations helps the reader analyze how exactly you'd try to implement change to fix the existing problems.

  3. Hi Matt,

I read through your Bug List and you came up with a lot of little annoyances that I also deal with on a weekly basis. I too had a very easy time initially coming up with bugs and reasons for why they exist, but towards the end of the list it became harder to list good bugs. The bug that I relate to the most on your list is number eleven- "When someone wakes you up in the morning to ask a stupid question that could have been asked anytime." This is an immediate bad start to a day and I too get very annoyed when this happens. Overall I believe that you did a good job on your bug list.

  4. Hey Matt,

I think you really nailed why a lot of these problems exist. I really hate the branding on clothes too. I feel like it takes away from the actual aesthetic value of the clothes themselves. There's some exceptions where the logo is actually simple and aesthetically pleasing and fits inside the design. Great job on your bug list.

  5. Matt,
A lot of your bugs were very relatable, as they are common and practical. The little things like, "when people sneeze and don't cover their mouth." are so common that sometimes we just accept that they will always be there annoying us instead of thinking of ways we could resolve the issue. Your reasoning for why people would do those things were all very thorough as well.
